...Trump wants the Iran crisis to end quickly by any means, whether through peace or war. He may also launch new strikes after the midterm elections on November 3. Trump's next move is difficult to predict; he could choose either path.

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has warned that any renewed attack on Iran will meet a "destructive" response. He issued the warning on Saturday (October 31).

Meanwhile, Germany has expressed concern over soaring fuel prices. Araghchi made the remarks after German Chancellor Friedrich Merz called for a swift end to the US-Israeli war against Iran, citing rising fuel prices following the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. The Iranian foreign minister said, "The concept of red lines is now a thing of the past."

Merz had earlier said that the war against Iran had cost European businesses and consumers more than 100 billion euros in additional expenses over the past eight months due to rising fuel prices.

Explosions and Tanker Seizures in the Strait of Hormuz

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has said that four oil tankers caught fire and exploded while traveling through "unauthorized routes" in the Strait of Hormuz. The IRGC Navy said two oil tankers encountered problems while attempting to navigate unauthorized routes in the eastern and western sections of the Strait of Hormuz. The vessels were subsequently seized in waters off the southern part of the strait.

Iran's news agency IRNA reported that on Friday the two tankers shut down all their navigation and positioning systems and attempted to exit through unauthorized routes in the Strait of Hormuz with the assistance of US "terrorist forces." Despite repeated warnings by radio, the two tankers ignored them and entered an unsafe area. After the incident, IRGC forces seized the two tankers in waters off the southern coast of the Strait of Hormuz.

Diplomatic Activity and Washington's Position

According to Iranian media, a Qatari delegation arrived in Tehran yesterday, Friday morning, for talks. In addition, an Iranian source confirmed that Tehran has received a letter from the United States regarding the end of the war.

Meanwhile, Washington-based analyst Mohammed Elmenshawy told Al Jazeera that Trump wants the Iran crisis to end quickly by any means, whether through peace or war. He may also launch new strikes after the midterm elections on November 3. Trump's next move is difficult to predict; he could choose either path.
